Why we built this
Wingfoiling is super fun, but as a beginner, finding good spots and knowing when it's blowing perfectly can be a challenge. And let's be honest - it's much more fun to be out with others than running solo sessions all the time.
FoilBuddies was created by foilers who were tired of:
- Wondering where to go when it's blowing
- Scrolling through 47 weather apps to find the right wind direction
- Driving to the beach and being the only one there
What we do
We gather everything you need in one place:
Spots with local knowledge
Which wind works? How shallow is it? What are the vibes?
Live weather data
Direct links to Windy, Yr and webcams - everything you need to know if it's worth going

How to use FoilBuddies
1Find spots
Use the map to find spots in your area. Filter by country, region, experience and wind direction. Click on a spot to see details, weather forecasts and who's there.
2Check the weather
See the 'Best conditions' panel to find spots with perfect conditions right now. Green spots = good conditions, yellow = ok, red = poor. Click on weather data for detailed forecast.
3Check in
When you're at a spot, press 'I'm here now' so others can see you're there. Check-ins last for 2 hours and are shown on the map. Perfect for finding foil buddies!
4Add favorites
Mark your favorite spots with the star icon. Favorites appear first in the 'Best conditions' panel when conditions are good.
5Share new spots
Know of a spot that's not on the map? Press 'Add spot' and share it with the community. All new spots must be approved by administrators before being published.

Whether you just learned to fly or you nail jibes perfectly, FoilBuddies is for you. Share your favorite spots, hook up with other foilers, and help beginners find the best places to learn.
